Obama - 50% drop in deportations of illegals. GOP is right there at his side

Stabbing Americans in the Back
  • Both parties are working hand-in-hand to screw over American citizens, lower wages and keep us unemployed.

Democrat Stupidity

President Obama has cut in half the number of illegal immigrants “removed or returned” than during the George W. Bush administration, according to a new report that cheers the results.

“Using a broader, more accurate measure of the number of unauthorized immigrants removed from the country since the first year of the Bush presidency, we find that in fact the total number of ‘removals’ and ‘returns’ has actually plummeted during the Obama presidency,” said the report from the progressive group NDN says the Washington Examiner.

“In 2012, the Obama administration removed and returned almost a million people less than the height of the Bush presidency. And every year of the Obama presidency has seen a sizable decline in the total number of unauthorized migrants removed or returned to their countries,” added the report, which rebuffs concerns among immigrants that the president is surging deportations.

A breakdown in the figures, however, finds that they have reason to be concerned. In 2012, the last year calculated, the White House “removed,” or deported, 419,384, more than in any year under Bush, said NDN. In every year of his presidency, there have been more deportations than during the Bush years.

And GOP Stupidity From Eric Cantor

(Blast from the past article)  -  While countless millions of Americans are under or unemployed, an insane GOP House bill would give 55,000 new green cards a year to import doctoral and masters graduates into the US to take jobs from American citizens.

Idiot House Republicans worried about their poor showing among Hispanics in the U.S. presidential election are planning a vote next week on immigration legislation that would both expand visas for foreign science and technology students.  The bill would also make it easier for those with green cards to bring their immediate families to the U.S.

Apparently the agony of tens of millions of unemployed American citizens in serious pain did not enter into the minds of the moron GOP leadership.

Megan Whittemore, spokeswoman for House Majority Leader Eric Cantor, a key proponent of the STEM Act, said the bill is "family friendly, helping spouses and minor children who would otherwise be separated from their families for extended periods of time."

The Vancouver Sun reports Republican leaders made it clear after the election that the party was ready to get serious about overhauling the nation's dysfunctional immigration system, a top priority for Hispanic communities. Taking up what is called the STEM Jobs Act during the lame-duck session could be seen as a first step in that direction.
.
There are some 80,000 of these family-based green cards allocated every year, but there are currently about 322,000 husbands, wives and children waiting in this category and on average people must wait more than two years to be reunited with their families. In that past that wait could be as long as six years.
